All cars may feature stunning design details but supercars take that to completely new levels. I recently spotted a whole host of expensive, striking supercars and thought I would share my favourite design aspects for each.
The Mercedes SLS is a pretty special looking piece of automotive machinery. It features some brilliant pieces of design, but the best piece in my view is one of the smallest – the chrome strakes over the air vent on the side, just prior to the door. It adds to the aggressive look of the side profile and helps with the airflow around the car.
This Lamborghini Huracan was spotted at the back of a dealership and it certainly caught my eye. The green paint makes it look even angrier. Design wise, the sharp, expertly-crafted wing mirrors add to the edgy overall look. They may not be the most practical, but the mirrors look good and clearly have an aerodynamic benefit.
This McLaren 12C looks particularly slick and classy in black, but I love the orange accents, which also feature inside the car as well. The most impressive part of the design is the aggressive air intake in front of the rear wheels on the sides of the 12C.
The Bugatti Veyron is an odd looking car, but its striking features make it one that immediately captures your attention. That and the sound. I love the in-your-face, chrome, circular grille. It looks aggressive, unusual and is highlighted by the raised central section of the bonnet.
